CHALLENGES / PROBLEMS

  • Automatic beet sampling.
  • Automated entry and exit of sugar beet trucks.

SOLUTION

  • Complete automation of the beet sampling platform. Positioning the vehicle by a randomly selected sampling position. Automatic driver notification of required activities and sampling cycle status.
  • Automatic tracking and navigation of vehicles from the loading point to the unloading point. When exiting, setting the next loading location. The driver gets all the information through the android application.
  • Vehicle registration with a QR code at the freight entrance. Automatic vehicle weighing and transmission of weight information to the superior MES system. The measured value is related to the identification QR code of the vehicle.
  • Successful and correct weighing allows the vehicle to go to the sampling platform.
  • After successful sampling, the vehicle is directed to the appropriate location for unloading.
  • After unloading, the weight of the vehicle is measured at the exit. After successful weighing, the vehicle leaves the factory and receives a new location for loading beets.

BENEFITS

  • Reduced need for a probe operator. Determining the position of the sample inside the vehicle trailer based on a randomly generated number in order to eliminate the possibility of fraud when taking the sample.
  • The laboratory staff has detailed insight into the state of the sampling system through the OP panel. The laboratory staff was notified of all malfunctions in the sampling system by sound and visual signaling.
  • The foundations have been laid for complete automation of the tail laboratory system and integration with the sampling system.
  • Reduced need for a weigher and dispatcher.
  • Reduced vehicle dwell time at the cargo entrance/exit.
  • The driver does not leave the vehicle during the measurement.
  • At the end of the beet delivery cycle, when leaving the factory, the driver receives a printed confirmation of the delivered beet quantity.
  • All three inputs with the scale can work as both input and output.
